CASTING CALL

Deaf & CODA Women for TalkBox.Mom ASL

Position Overview

TalkBox.Mom is creating our first ASL program for families, and we’re casting Deaf and CODA women to help bring it to life.

Families have asked us for ASL for years.

Not because ASL resources don’t exist.

But because they want the TalkBox.Mom way: full phrases, real-life use, and a family-first path that helps parents and children start signing together right away.

We’re looking for Deaf and CODA women who are fluent in ASL, comfortable on camera, and excited to help families bring ASL into daily life.

We are casting:

  • 2 Deaf Women fluent in ASL
  • 2 CODA Women fluent in ASL

This is a paid, project-based opportunity involving ASL content collaboration and on-camera filming for the first TalkBox.Mom ASL program.

Location: Dallas, Texas
Travel: Round-trip travel to Dallas and lodging are covered by TalkBox.Mom
Prep: July 27–August 7, 2026
Production: August 10–14, 2026
Compensation: $37/hour for project prep, content collaboration, and production work

If you are a Dallas local, you will have production opportunities sooner and be offered follow-up work for any retakes.

About the Project

TalkBox.Mom helps families start using a new language in real life the same day they begin.

Now we’re bringing that same family-first method to ASL.

Our ASL program will help families:

  • Use full ASL phrases in daily life
  • Practice together in short, guided sessions
  • Bring ASL into home routines
  • Communicate with more people
  • Build confidence signing as a family

This program is not being built around random vocabulary lists or isolated signs.

It is being built around real communication.

And Deaf and CODA creators belong at the center of that work.
