TalkBox.Mom For Any Budget

If you believe that hearing your kids speak another language every day would be meaningful to you,  but you’re evaluating your financials to make TalkBox.Mom work, I want you to know that I wouldn’t want anyone not to start because of money.

We have several ways to make this work for your budget, especially because the cost of not starting now:

  • missing having all the time at your child’s current age,
  •  missing the window if your child is showing an interest right now,  or
  • missing preparing for a trip you’re already investing in,

Is a higher cost than the price to start.

The best time to start, of course, is now.  It’s the most time you’ll have with your child.

What’s the lowest price to get started? (for the best value)

It’s going to be the $35 Phrasebook. This is a booster you’ll use for years on its own, or with your Boxes.

With over 1700 phrases to use in small moments of your day,  you’ll be able to pick and choose from some really great phrases to use with your family. Like,  ”Go to the car,” “Get in the car,” “Get in your seat,” and “Buckle your seatbelt.”

Do you see how easy it is to add another language to your day?

For each phrase, you’ll do a Practice Session with your family. Every phrase has native speaker audio in the Companion App, so you won’t be left guessing how anything is said.

The Phrasebook is also $10 off at checkout  with your first Box. So if you love a good deal, you can get these two together.

Grab your first Box here with $10 off your Phrasebook at checkout.

If you’re using charter or ESA money, the discounts vary by program.

What are the Boxes?

To build fluency, our Fluency Families go through our signature program, which is a series of nine experiences that include language guides delivered to you in a nine-subscription box series.

All the native speaker audio for how to pronounce everything in each Box becomes available in the Companion App as each experience is delivered. And your kids don’t need to look at the screen to practice, so it won’t use any of their screen time if they have any.

You can see the nine Boxes here — one for each experience. They focus on different topics and go in a specific order because they build on each other.

The TalkBox.Mom Signature Box Program

And unlike other language programs, you actually work through the experiences several times to go deeper as your confidence increases.

This means you invest once in each Box and then use the Boxes  for years and years and years.

How much are the Boxes?

If you had a native speaker come to your home and do everything in the first Box just the first time through,  it would cost at least $750. And we’ve put that $750 experience into a $90 Box. Not per child. Not per month. Per Box.

I think about it as if I sent my child to a tutor,  it would cost $90 for three or four sessions,  and then they would come home and have no one to talk to.

Our program is going to have all of you talking together for $90 per Box. And remember, you actually use the Boxes again and again with new phrases.

What if I don’t want a subscription?

For families who aren’t interested in a subscription and want to commit, you can purchase the entire program up front for $720. Your boxes can still ship out one at a time, or if you’re traveling with them, we can ship them all together. Just let us know in your order note.

Another option if you don’t like subscriptions is to order your first Box and then put your subscription on hold. When you’re ready for your next Box, you can take your subscription off hold, place the order, and then put your account back on hold.

However, I recommend choosing a date for your next Box so that you work towards it. You can always move your renewal or shipment date before your order processes for no fee.

How often should I get a Box?

If you’re planning on preparing for a trip, have previous experience with the language, or want to practice as much as you can, I recommend getting a new Box every month.

If you’re planning on practicing four times per week, that’s very doable. I recommend getting a new Box every two months.

If you’re planning on practicing three-ish to two-ish times per week, I recommend getting a new Box every three months.

What if you have a smaller budget?

But if $90 every three months is too high for your budget, we can make this even easier.

You can invest in your first $90 box, and then set your next renewal date six months out. Each week, you just need to save $4 per week in your budget to have enough for your next box. You’ll be able to work through your first box twice in this time frame – for just $4 per week for your whole family to speak another language.

If you think you can save $8 per week, you can set your next box 3 months out, which is a standard option at checkout. That’s right! $8 per week for your entire family to be using another language together.

And remember, once you buy the Box, it’s yours to use again and again with your immediate family.

After you have all nine Boxes, you can keep using them without paying more.

Does that make you excited to start the process?

Can I buy the Boxes secondhand?

If you buy the Boxes secondhand, you’re just purchasing the language guides. You won’t have any access to the TalkBox.Mom Program.

This is like someone attending a university class and then you buying their textbook later. You’re obviously not getting the experience. Just the book.

It’s the same exact price to buy our program if you already have the language guides, so I would just get the language guides new so you know that you have the most up to date guides, not something from nine years ago.

What about high school students?

You can either buy all nine Boxes upfront or once a month for the first year. Then you can continue to use your Boxes for year 2 and year 3. You don’t have to pay more for your Boxes.

Alternatively, for a smaller budget, you can work through the first 4 Boxes twice the first year,  and then the next five Boxes twice the second year.

The tracks from TalkBox.Mom for High School Students. There's a standard track and modified track.

At checkout, you can choose to order the first four Boxes at the lower rate. The next four Boxes will renew at the lower rate, and the last Box will renew at that locked in lower rate. Or you can pay for your four Boxes individually the first year and the next five individually the second year, making it work for your budget.

For high school, we do have a high school guide that you can purchase with the Power Practice Planner. You can see bundles for high school at talkbox.mom/highschool.

Once you get started, you’ll realize how much value is in each Box as your whole family,  or at least one parent and one child, is using another language together.
