How does TalkBox.Mom Fit into My Wild + Free Homeschool Style?
So you’re an awesome Wild + Free homeschooling mom. You want your children to have an amazing, beautiful childhood by letting them experience freedom, adventure, and wonder. Stifling environments are not allowed! So how can you fit learning a foreign language into your life while also allowing your children to be the free spirits they were born to be?
Gone are the days of sitting at a desk with a Spanish or French textbook, drilling vocabulary words and conjugations.😩 Instead, you can talk in a foreign language together as a family as you experience adventures together! Do you talk to your kids about climbing trees and sunny skies in English while you’re out on your daily nature walk? Well why don’t you replace those nature phrases with a foreign language instead!
With TalkBox.Mom, you can talk in a foreign language with your kids while you’re out and about, experiencing the beauty of life and nature together. You can even slip the TalkBox.Mom Companion App with native speaker audio into your back pocket as you explore the world with your children! And if your kids don’t look at screens, they don’t even need to look at the screen to hear the native speaker audio. You as the parent can play the audio.
Here at TalkBox.Mom, we want you and your family to be able to do everything you want in life and use a foreign language at the same time!

HOW DOES TALKBOX.MOM FIT INTO MY WILD + FREE HOMESCHOOL STYLE?
Answered by Morgan
- Many Wild + Free families believe in preserving childhood and all of its wonders and curiosities, providing a natural learning environment (versus being confined to classroom walls), and placing an emphasis on the importance of family.
- Because TalkBox.Mom is made for families, the content can easily fit into the natural rhythm of a homeschooling family’s day-to-day life.
- There’s no need to slave over textbooks or sit in front of a computer screen to learn a language, pick a few new phrases to practice at the breakfast table, review phrases during your morning basket time, and share with Dad what everyone has been learning at dinner.

HOW DOES TALKBOX.MOM FIT INTO MY WILD + FREE HOMESCHOOL STYLE?
Answered by Eileen
- Wild + Free families want their families to learn in an environment of freedom, not boxed in by classroom or home walls. Get outside and play and learn while doing so.
- There are some great nature phrases that can be used to Wild + Free outings or group play sessions. Talk about nature in a foreign language instead of English.
- It would be so cool if you did have a Wild + Free community group of several families decided to learn the same foreign language and everyone bought the phrase book and each family bought the boxes and all learned together and could practice with each other at meet ups.
- Learning with TalkBox.Mom is an active process, children have real conversations with real people, family members, so the language learning is meaningful, not just busy work.

How does TalkBox.Mom fit into my Wild + Free Homeschool Style?
Answered by Morgan
Many Wild+Free families believe in the preserving childhood
with all of its natural wonders and curiosities. As well as
the fact that learning doesn’t necessarily have to take place
within the bounds of four classroom walls. Many families also
place a high emphasis on the importance of family, which
is why TalkBox.Mom
is a great program because it’s made for the entire family.
There’s no need to have a whole stack of textbooks; one for
each child, or to drill flashcards, or sit in front of a
computer screen.
You can just simply incorporate them into the natural
rhythm of your family. You can review phrases at the breakfast
table, and then teach them to Dad at dinner, or incorporate them
into your morning basket, or when you’re out on your nature
walk. TalkBox.Mom is a great fit for families who don’t
necessarily want to stick with the traditional curriculum,
but instead want to incorporate learning into their natural
everyday lives!

How does TalkBox.Mom fit into my Wild + Free Homeschool Style?
Answered by Eileen
Hi Wild+Free homeschooling moms!
I know that if you are a Wild+Free homeschooling family
that you want a quality education for your children, but
you also really want them to have freedom, and excitement,
and awe, and wonder surrounding their learning experiences.
Maybe you follow the Wild+Free podcast.
I love listening to it while I’m folding laundry or
doing the dishes.
I also love Ainsley Arment’s, The Call of the Wild and Free, book.
It is one of my favorite homeschooling resources. And maybe you’re
super lucky and you have a Wild+Free group in your community,
and you get to go together with those families every week,
or every month, and play together.
That would be so amazing! And you’re wondering: how can you
fit TalkBox.Mom Into the Wild+Free philosophy of
learning? Well, the first thing that comes to mind is all
of the super cool nature phrases that you could use in your
Wild+Free group, or if you don’t have a group, just on
your daily nature walks.
There are phrases about climbing trees, rainbows in the sky,
sunny skies, and rainy skies! And wouldn’t it be cool if you
could talk about all of those topics in a foreign language
instead of in English? Maybe your family wants to learn French
or Spanish; even Korean, we have!
You can learn all of those nature phrases in a foreign
language. Maybe your Wild+Free group wants to learn
a language all together.
What if everyone in your Wild+Free group had the
TalkBox.Mom phrasebook? And you started signing up for the
boxes, and every couple of months
you got a new box, and learn new phrases, and you could use
all of those phrases in a foreign language at your
Wild+Free meetup groups?
That would be pretty cool.
So I think that you’re going to find that TalkBox.Mom
and Wild+Free go really well together.
Might as well learn a foreign language in a Wild+Free
way, instead of studying textbooks and worksheets.
Just get out there and learn in the world!
