The Spanish: Outdoor Scavenger Hunts have three different activities to introduce tons from the outdoors into your life–without creating overwhelm. True, there’s a lot in them! But you’ll be able to work on all of it over the next couple of weeks or months while playing different activities and practicing with the native speaker audio in the companion app to increase confidence.

With the memory cards and bingo cards, you’ll be using complete sentences as you practice what you’ll see on your scavenger hunts. Then on your scavenger hunts, you’ll be using complete sentences as you and your children focus on using your Spanish as you find or don’t find these items.

Then, the next time you’re in the great outdoors, you and your children will be spotting and talking about nature effortlessly in Spanish!

SCAVENGER HUNT CARDS

With phrases at the top that pair with items in your list, you’ll spend your scavenger hunt speaking in complete sentences in Spanish as you search for items instead of learning a bunch of vocabulary words that you can’t actually use.
You’ll be able to pick through 8 different scavenger hunts, allowing you to customize the hunt for where you’ll be–whether it’s the beach, your neighborhood, or out in the woods.
Each scavenger hunt has about 12 hand-drawn illustrations, which will pull in your child’s attention while not overwhelming your child as you learn to talk about more things you see, feel, and hear outside

MEMORY CARDS WITH PHRASES

The first set of memory cards have full phrases on them, so you can start playing memory in Spanish using complete sentences, which leads you to develop fluency faster.
Each card has an option for when you find the card the first time, and when you find the “other” card, so you sound like a native speaker as you play.
With 169 cards with hand-drawn illustrations, you’ll be able to work through these cards over multiple weeks while keeping your child’s attention as they play. We recommend pulling the cards on your scavenger hunts as you work through those to help you focus and learn faster.

MEMORY CARDS WITHOUT TEXT

After the first set feels comfortable, move onto the second set that doesn’t have phrases. You’ll still be talking in complete phrases without any hints, which will allow your family to develop more fluency.
For this second set, we recommend using a question from the scavenger hunt as you flip over the first card and answering that question with a full sentence as you flip over the second card. Recalling the phrases you used as you did the scavenger hunt activity will increase your family’s understanding of what you’re saying and what you mean.
With another set of 169 hand-drawn illustrations, you’ll be able to work through these cards over multiple weeks while keeping your child’s attention as they play.

BINGO CARDS WITH PHRASES

With bingo cards, your family members will increase their fluency by listening to each card being called out and by searching for the card on their own sheet.
Because the sheets have full phrases, they’ll also improve their speaking as they need to say a full sentence before marking off that they have a card.

BINGO CARDS WITHOUT TEXT

The second set of bingo cards don’t have phrases, allowing you to incorporate more full phrases from the scavenger hunt to increase your fluency.
Each bingo set, with or without phrases, agave a different layout, so if some of your children need the phrases and some don’t, you’ll be able to play with a mix of both!
The same hand-drawn illustrations are used, so you can easily recall what you’ve been working on in the other two activities as well as keep your child’s attention.

NATIVE SPEAKER AUDIO IN THE APP

For everything you’ll find in this printable, you’ll have native speaker audio that you can practice with, which means you’ll be able to sound more and more like a native speaker every time you work through your activities.
