The only reason TalkBox.Mom is a subscription and goes in a specific sequence is because as you go through the boxes, you start getting less and less English on your pages. There’s much more content in the later boxes — you’re learning faster and you can learn more.
If you don’t want a subscription because you don’t want to be surprised by an auto-charge, and you’d rather get one box at a time, I totally understand. I’m going to show you how easy it is to change your account so that you are never auto charged, and you just get one box at a time.
Step 1: Log In
Log in to your account either in the app or online. If you don’t know your password, you can reset it using the Lost Password link, but when you purchase a subscription and check out, you’re already logged in.
Click My Account.
Step 2: Pause Subscription. In My Account, scroll down and
- Click My Subscription.
- Click Delay Shipment.
- Click Pause Charges.
An alert will appear, asking you to choose a date that you would like to start shipments again. Don’t worry about this date, though. Your subscription is definitely paused, and no shipment will come. You can choose a date if you want to, and you can choose any shipment date you want, if you ever want to change it. But if what you’re looking for is to not be auto-charged, just pause the charges.
Now here’s the thing about pausing your subscription— I will never unpause it. I’m not lurking with a sinister chuckle, saying, “Hahaha…I want you to get another box.” No, I want you to be so excited to get your next box. So the only person who will take it off of pause is you and only when you’re ready to get your next box.
At TalkBox.Mom, we made this subscription for families, and we want you to feel really good about it. Don’t worry— if you are set up on a subscription and if your email account allows you to get a notification, you’ll receive a reminder email four days before you’re ever charged. Then you can decide if you want to change it.
There are families who pull their dates forward, and those who push their dates back. I want this to work for your family so that you’re reaching your goals and that feeling really good about them. So, if placing your account on hold feels good to you, then that’s what I want you to do.
