Language immersion schools are all the rage! I don’t think there’s a parent in existence that would ever complain about their child learning a foreign language at the same time they’re receiving a traditional education. But what if you want to recreate, or continue, that immersion experience at home? What if your child’s immersion school had to shut down due to Covid-19 and using a foreign language with your child now rests on your shoulders?

IS TALKBOX.MOM A LANGUAGE IMMERSION PROGRAM?

Answered by Jenn

  • Yes! In a traditional language immersion school, either all or part of thei child’s day is spent having foreign language spoken to them.
  • Partial immersion is when only part of the child’s day is spoken in the foreign language. Total immersion is when the entire school day is spoken in the foreign language.
  • When used correctly, TalkBox.Mom start out as a partial immersion program as you implement phrase after phrase in the new language.
  • Eventually, TalkBox.Mom can become a total immersion program when your whole day is filled with talking in the new language!

Answered by Jenn

Hey there, you might be wondering if TalkBox.Mom

is a language immersion program.

Well, I am so happy to tell you that yes, it is! Just like

regular schools that also have a language immersion program

students spend part of their day speaking and communicating

and doing whatever they’re doing in the language, the foreign

language, that they’re trying to learn.

This can be carried over to the home with TalkBox.Mom

because TalkBox.Mom

gets families talking in a foreign

language throughout their day, so it can be during snack

time, during chores, any time of the day! And the hopeful end

result is that you spend your entire day speaking the foreign

language of your choice, which would result in a total immersion

program, which is pretty exciting.

So yes, anyway, in a nutshell:

Yes! TalkBox.Mom

is a language immersion program if it’s used correctly.

And if you want to hear more about TalkBox.Mom and how

it can fill your entire day with a foreign language,
