What does achieving fluency look like?

As a Fluency Family, your child can wake you up in the morning, saying that they’re hungry in the language. You can ask them to set the table in the language, and they’re able to tell you they’re done in the language. Once you think everyone is done eating, they’re able to ask for more in the language!

As you go throughout the day, your family is able to get chores done in the language, your child can let you know they’re done with their math in the language, and you’re even able to connect with friends in the language. If your extended family speaks the language, your family is able to connect in the language.

To build fluency, our Fluency Families go through our signature program, which is a series of nine experiences that include language guides delivered to you in a nine-subscription box series.

All the native speaker audio for how to pronounce everything in each box becomes available in the companion app as each experience is delivered. So you won’t be left guessing how anything is pronounced. And your kids don’t need to look at the screen to practice, so it won’t use any of their screen time if they have any.

You can see the nine boxes here — one for each experience. They focus on different topics and go in a specific order because they build on each other. 

And unlike other language programs, you actually work through the experiences several times to go deeper as your confidence increases.

This means you invest once in each box and then use the boxes for years.

You’re cashing in lots of wins and getting more comfortable to the point where you’re playing in the language.

You’re realizing that your family can have fun together as you use another language!

Becoming a 3 Box Family

As a 3 Box Family, you’re picking up speed as you talk, and you’re thinking in the language too!

You’re able to hear a sentence and reuse it in different tenses naturally and with fluency. 

You’re gaining a stronger ear for grammar and starting to notice what sounds right in the language.

Becoming a 4 Box Family

As a 4 Box Family, you’ve hit a language explosion! You’re going deeper into the language, and your phrases are integrating more easily into your life. 

With the foundation you’ve built, you’re starting to say things you’ve never learned to say. It’s just falling out of your mouth!

You know you’ve worked together to get this far, but it feels so natural!

As a 5 Box Family, your language learning skills have matured. Your ability to practice and use a language as a family feels second nature, accelerating your progress.

You’re now strengthening your ear for grammar with new routines while expanding your vocabulary and up-leveling your communication skills.

And you’re not overwhelmed. Your curiosity is pushing you forward as you’re able to interact and use the language in your daily life.

You’re navigating the world around you, and you’re comfortable expanding your language skills through new conversations.

As an 8 Box Family, you’re no longer relying on English to learn another language. You’re using language guides that are exclusively in the second language. 

You’re confident in your ability to learn contextually and with visual cues. And you’re not just using the language in conversations. You’re also following checklists and reporting back on your progress. 

The language has become a part of your family culture, and you’re using it to get things done as a family!
