Picture this. You’re excited to practice another language with your child. You were brave and took a step outside your comfort zone… and simply started to practice.
And your child pushes back. It might be small, like eye-rolling and pouting. Or loud, like complaining. Or rude, like running out of the room on you or picking fights with a sibling.
What was supposed to be fun… made your heart heavy. Will it hurt like this the next time you practice?
The good news is that you have an amazing child, and you want to connect with that child.
Your child just lacks the skill of following an instruction, and parenting expert Nicholeen Peck is ready to help you uplevel your parenting so you can teach your child this skill.
Then, when it’s time to practice, everyone will work together to use the language… support each other… and thank you!
Imagine how this will help you in other areas of your life. Because if there is pushback when learning a language, I feel the pain in you from other moments you’ve had like this outside of language learning.
How It Works
From Friday, October 11th to Wednesday, October 16th, you’ll receive a new video training in your inbox at 6 AM CT from Adelaide, the founder of TalkBox.Mom, and parenting expert Nicholeen Peck from Teaching Self-Government.
Day 1: Good Behavior Starts With Knowing Who You Are!
After setting the stage with our issue—push back when practicing another language—Nicholeen will walk you through a quick quiz to determine if you have a role issue in your home. Then, you’ll learn and use Nicholeen’s communication formula.
By the end, you’ll know how to help your child understand their role and improve your relationships to maintain family roles.
Day 2: Teaching Children Self-Mastery And Responsibility
You’ll learn what it looks like for your child to truly govern themself. That means managing and being responsible for their own behavior. What a weight to be lifted from you and a worthy responsibility for them to take on!
You’ll learn one of the most important skills by learning to teach it to yourself, and then you’ll be ready to teach it to your child.
Day 3: One Way To Teach Your Children To Succeed Each Day
With this method, you’ll learn to set your child up for success. I seriously use this every single day, multiple times a day, before activities, before no-answers. My third child would not be thriving without it.
Nicholeen will show us how to use this proactive skill, and you’ll leave with three things planned to use it on.
Day 4: Pain-Free Corrections That The Whole Family Can Support
There are behaviors in our homes that we know we should correct… but aren’t correcting.
Nicholeen will help us gauge our level of tolerance, walk us through why we’re resistant to correcting our child, and teach us how to correct (teach our children how to behave) in a way that is painless for you and your child.
Day 5: Popular Parenting Methods? Are They Really Working?
It’s time to take a hard look in the mirror and see if we have any parenting habits or ideas that are holding us back from letting our kids take responsibility for their own behavior.
We’ll find our parenting style, evaluate our energy, learn to lead deliberately, and plan for success.
Day 6: 5 Must-Know Parenting Traps
Now that we know what to do, there are a few traps awaiting us… because we love our kids so much.
You’ll learn the 5 behavior traps to watch out for, how we get sucked into them, and what we do to fix the situation without getting trapped.
Bonus: Engaging Teens Who Resist
In this special segment, we’ll address teens who don’t want to participate. Either they’re embarrassed or hesitant… or you’re not even sure why they’re not wanting to practice another language!
Well, one thing is for sure. You’re not going to be an enabler. Instead of coddling your child or making excuses, you’ll help them achieve the skills they need to step outside their comfort zone, and you’ll help yourself learn the skills you need for oppositional behaviors.
An in-depth training like this would typically cost $150, but I’m covering the cost for you.
Why?
I definitely have an unhealthy projection of my self-worth tied to how many boxes you work through as a family. (Imagine being my therapist.)
So if this obstacle is holding your family back from moving forward, let’s move it.
I want your family to be able to use another language together.
I have personally done Nicholeen’s parenting course, and it changed our family’s life.
It’s time for it to change yours.
