INSTRUCTIONS

Ask the person holding the ball to either hand it, roll it, or throw it to you.

Do this until it’s just too easy.

DIALOG HELP

Say to your family, “We are going to either roll, hand, or throw the ball. We need to listen to what the person is saying to us, so we know which one to do.”

“Let’s hear how to say these phrases in Korean again. We will repeat after she talks. First is to hand the ball.”

Listen to the phrase and repeat after she talks.

“Next is to roll the ball.”

Listen to the phrase and repeat after she talks.

“Last is throw the ball.”

Listen to the phrase and repeat after she talks.

“Choose to say either, ‘gong geon-neh jweo. (공 건네 줘.), or gong geon-neh joo-seh-yo. (공 건네 주세요.),’ ‘gong gool-lyeo. (공 굴려.), or gong gool-lyeo-joo-seh-yo. (공 굴려주세요.),’ or ‘gong deon-jyeo. (공 던져.), or gong deon-jyeo-joo-seh-yo. (공 던져주세요.),’ and I will hand, roll, or throw the ball to you.”

Start rolling, handing, and throwing the ball.

When someone forgets how to say a phrase, say, “Let’s play the phrase again. It’s okay to listen to it as many times as you want. There is no such thing as cheating here.”
