“When I started on as the newest member of a tiny team helping families speak in foreign languages back in September of last year, I don’t think I understood how much it would change, not just my life but that of my own tiny family. Leaving a terrible job environment to join a wonderful family of people that truly care not just about the products they make and the people they help but their employees was the life change I truly needed. I am in a better place for myself and my partner, Gil, since starting here, and a large part of that is having some many wonderful families enjoy and be excited about our products. Without you guys, I would not be up to my ears each week assembling boxes. I’m kind of new and kind of old to the TalkBox.Mom team. I started using TalkBox.Mom with my family, about a year ago, after many indecisive thoughts about which language to learn. We ultimately decided on Spanish! Not long after that, I was able to join the team as a homeschool conference representative in February! What a dream! I still have to pinch myself thinking about it! It was very much unlike the “Eileen” I knew to try something new and scary. Adelaide and Hector welcomed us with open arms and I had a great time meeting the other moms, turned coworkers. They are the coolest people! But alas, we only got to go to one conference, thanks to the stinky virus! But man was it fun to meet the future and current TalkBox.Mom families at the conference and learn about the reasons they are interested in learning foreign languages. Fast forward to today when I have the delightful job of chatting with TalkBox.Mom families and meeting new potential families who are about to jump off the cliff and soar! I love all of the families and hearing about their grandparents who speak a language, or families getting ready to travel the world, or families just wanting to be able to talk to the cashiers at the grocery stores and restaurants. Everyone’s journeys and reasons to try TalkBox.Mom are so unique and special and I feel very fortunate to be a part of the experience! Thank you for allowing me to learn about your families and opening up about your past struggles and big dreams for the future. You have provided me with the opportunity to be able to work from home and homeschool my own daughters. I can pay for them to go to ballet class, take them ice skating, and buy my new baby niece a Christmas gift.
